Is a pediatric oncologist a career?

Like pediatric oncology is a part of major hospitals. Are the nurses just regular Registered Pediatric nurses or is there a specific title for a doctor/nurse working in a pediatric oncology wing?

Yes, Pediatric Oncologist is a career. It is a physician (MD or DO) and requires med school and an appropriate residency. Usually, this is a Pediatrics residency and a Pediatric Oncology fellowship.

Nurses in pediatric oncology wards will be "regular" nurses. They will be RNs. The US does not train nurses for specialties in nursing school nor are there specific licensing requirements for Pediatric Oncology nurses vs. Cath Lab nurses vs. Dermatology Clinic nurse. Usually RNs in pediatric oncology will be experienced nurses and the hospital will train them to what they need to do if they are promoted from within. Again, it is not a different license. Still an RN.

If you don't know, please, don't answer. It just confuses people more.

A pediatric oncologist is definitely a career, and is a medical doctor. If a nurse wants to work in a pediatric oncology wing, he or she would need additional qualifications beyond nursing school.

The be a nurse in the oncologist dept you have to know about it. So yes, they do have different schooling than other nurses. I think it would be terrific to be one. My sister wants to and my ms friends sister is one. Not sure if they have a specific title but they aren't just regular nurses, they have different schooling because of the different things those kids are going through rather than one coming out of surgery. Hope I helped!
