Are there any Galveston rentals that have less stringent rules?

Our rental group consists of mostly people younger GARM guideline age with only one person over that age requirement. This makes it difficult to rent from the large companies because they all follow those guidelines very strictly and would consider us a group where "an adult is renting on behalf of minors". I'm looking for a company or private owner rental that would be okay with a group of four 17/18 year olds with one 59 year old adult.

Update:

I understand the rules and why they're in place. We were just hoping for an experience that won't include security checking on us every single night...we larger companies have told us it would be every night...and honestly answering the door just to prove an adult over 25 is there seems like an unnecessary chore if we can find other options

...and camping? keep dreaming. I'll rent on Bolivar like all the other 18 year olds before I consider camping...

It's not going to happen. As your group is composed of mostly minors there's a considerable liability risk here, and property owners would prefer not to be sued if something happens. Furthermore they also like to have peace of mind that their property isn't going to be ruined by an unruly bunch of kids who think it's cute to have a wild party at someone else's expense.

The expectation will be that your stay will be supervised by someone who has the interests of the owners in mind to ensure that the rules are being followed. Either rent a campsite and not worry about thrid-party chaperones or play ball with the rules of the house.

There are rules for a reason. The property owners do not want their property damaged. They also do not want to be responsible for minors using their property. Sorry, but your group needs to camp out if you want a place with less requirements.
