Do you prefer a crock pot roast or oven baked?

I think both can be great, what about you?

I like both. Each has its purpose, pros, cons etc.

Crock pot cooking has it's place but everything that can be done in a crock pot I can do in a dutch oven in the oven.

I do not have a problem leaving a dutch oven in the oven for an entire day.

In either case I love the flavors that are obtained by long slow cooking, great for inexpensive cuts of meat.

If I have a great cut of beef, I roast it at 325 degrees F in the oven, covered with foil. If the beef is less expensive (I like bottom round), I make pot roast and cook it a long time on low heat. Either way, it comes out moist, tender, and delicious.

    crock pot over baked

I usually do my roast on the stove though. I think it's better than in the crockpot.

Neither. I cook pot roast on top of the stove or in a pressure cooker.

The oven baked ones always seem more flavorful to me.

  • Oven, so I can have it rare, to med rare. Tastes 100 times better

I prefer oven braised. It takes less liquid so the juices are more concentrated. ∠°)
