It is a whole lot more trouble to take it back to Academy than to do it your self. I am guessing that it is a Mossberg ATR-100. My nephew got one of those. It was advertised as being bore sighted. 6 of the screws that hold the scope on were loose and the others needed to be tightened. Tighten the base screws, the ones that hold the rings to the base, and the ones that clamp the rings to the scope. If you dining room table is near a window, you are all set. Night is a good time to do it. Turn the lights off in the room, so people outside won't p**** their panties. Remove the bolt from the rifle. Prop the rifle up on some books or something so that you can see a distant light through the bpre. Without moving the rifle, adjust the scope so that the cross hairs align with the light. If your support is not real stable, you may want to check it several times. BORE SIGHTED!. That should get you within a foot at 50 yds, maybe better if you are lucky.
