joining the airforce?

my history teacher was in the airforce for 22 years before he retired that and became a teacher. he said he would load planes and then fly to military bases all over the world and give supplies. this sounded really cool to me and i was wondering if its something theres a need for. any advice/answer would be helpful in all honesty

His career was a loadmaster and there is a definite need for them. Like you said they load and deliver the supplies to the troops. Something i would recommend is going to airforce.com and checking out the careers and finding loadmaster. Also its good you're wanting to go with the air force, they are probably the best along with the army. Good luck and if you want to join stay motivated and tell yourself you can.

He was a load master and it's a really low occupancy job because you're away for long times and very frequent because you're constantly flying and delivering supplies. If you're single and you love amazing views, sitting in a plane for long hours then a load master is your job.

Yes, there is still a need for loadmasters! Just curious why you didn't even think to ask your teacher what that job was called, then do your own research!
