Why do bi's get do much crap?

Honestly, I think it is jealously. There is so much prejudice that still exists in the world against gay people. Some gay people resent bi people because it's like they have an option. They don't have to "go gay" all the time. They can find perfect happiness with a member of the opposite sex. They can pass off as straight in a mostly straight world. Whereas gay people are "stuck" with being only attracted to members of the same gender, which leaves them as the most discriminated sexual orientation.

It's difficult for a monosexual person to empathize with someone who is sexually attracted to both men and women. Even if they understand it, they won't feel it, much like how heterosexuals have no idea how a man or woman could be attracted to the same sex.

When people let this get to their heads, they come up with silly stereotypes. For example, heterosexuals think that homosexuality is a choice because "heterosexuality seems so natural", or that all homosexuals act like the opposite sex because they're attracted to the same sex (i.e. confusing homosexuals with transsexual people). So, bisexuals are seen as indecisive or liars because you can only be attracted to men or women (according to some people).

If it helps, us asexuals are pretty much in the same boat as you bisexuals! Only, we're essentially opposites.

Jealousy, I think. Monosexuals seem to think we get twice as much sex as they do.

I've been with my wife, monogamously, for 13 years and plan to go on with her for the rest of my life. I don't think bi peeps are any more or less promiscuous than monosexuals, it's a matter of individual character.

They just don't understand it. Just the same way I don't understand monosexuals. Only I don't make ignorant comments about them.
