Would you get a uterus transplant if you could?

This is aimed to the Transgender community....

I know sometimes it sucks knowing the limitations of well "life" but sometimes I find there are a few others who don't accept those limitations and will fight tooth and nail to break those boundaries.

One Question I do have is would you risk having a transplant to have a baby just to become pregnant?

I'll express my feeling toward it... I feel most transgender women start off fertile to begin with.. and even tho they don't get the joys of pregnancy... they do have the option to become parents.. They can either value that option and plan to give birth or risk having excessive surgery just to get an experience. What I can't understand is why would a transgender would even consider wasting so much time/energy/money/rescources on carrying a baby (another life) for the sake of basically role play... Because to me that's what it is to me Live action Roleplay. I can understand wanting to change your percieved image and sexual intercourse parts.. but to me being doped up then cut open to have a womb place inside you to have it cut open and take the baby and it out... is too much.

What gratification does one really get by carrying their own baby in the opposite sex's body? I'm pretty sure it will be more expensive than simple invitro/surrogate.

I'm a transguy but I will try to answer the question anyway :).

I would have a transplant of the male reproductive organs if I could and everything would be fully functioning. This way I wouldn't have to inject testosterone for the rest of my life. If it were possible then I would have a biological child.

But it isn't possible. I think one day I will have a child but it won't be biologically mine. To me that doesn't make much difference. I would never EVER consider having a child with the parts I was born with, because that doesn't feel like my place in the world. Some transmen (very rarely) have had children, so my thoughts are not universal.

I'm sure some transwomen would feel like carrying a child is right, it is a very personal question.

It isn't role play playing at being the wrong gender (the one we were born in) is roleplay for us and believe me we've all had enough of that.

I'm not trans-gender I had a hysterectomy at 19 and pray this will be available one day. But my opinion bottom line, regardless of sexual origin or preferance EVERYONE should have the right to reproduce, unless you cannot care for a child. We are talking about the most basic human right and noone has the right to decide someone else does not deserve that. The choice should be available to everyone and should only be made by that individual. Also I agree this question is a waste of time, I've been on both sides and you will simply never understand the desire or willingness to take such a risk until you're in the situation-and I hope you never are.

More cisgendered nonsense asked by an ignorant cisgender.

Here's a tip for you, the trans community don't care what you think, you have no real perspective on gender or physical sex and because of that you have nothing valuable to offer.

    Go away and shut up.
