"Great Healer" Just a short two-quatrain poem. Care to C/C?

.

Great Healer

Bring me no memento of the great wars

Tell me nothing of souls heeding Death's call

Show me none of the soldiers' scars

I am the Great Healer, I forget all

Stash away those memorial photographs

Wipe not the covering layers of grime

I forgot all under those epitaphs

I am what they call: "a very long time."

    I`m with L.C., on this..

    if eternity is timeless

    it`s spaceless too

come into my atomic body - I am tired

    (and I think someone`s deleted a post of ma`s)

    - - -and heal me please - would you?... (If the narrator is The All),

    I address the narrator-entity..

*last night I watched a Roger Daltrey interview on youtube..

he was speaking of Tommy`s plea

    `Feel Me, Touch Me,Heal Me!` being everyone`s inner call..Yup.*

Your enigmatic write is impacting..has us think..TY..

I`d like it best minus the war-refs as I can not get away from the effects Ever :/

    except inunexpected instants rare..

    yet , it`s so deeply `A Universal`..you get a slim Blue Ribbon :)

Even when time elapses, people have this great capacity to hold onto their wounds; to freshly open them as if doing this helps in some way.

This is a though provoking little poem. In that respect I believe it fulfills your intent well.

    Thank you.

Hi Questor. While I'm not able to read all you post, those I do read are excellent examples of poetry. This is no exception, and I too don't know if time really heals, but I hope so.

"Time heals all wounds" is a saying I have heard over and over throughout my life. I don't buy into it, though. "A very long time" is not long enough.

Your writing is direct but also, what I call, "well-like"...(deep in meaning)

I could use a Healer over here right now.

Time heals all wounds, that's true. But the wounds do leave reminders that they were once there.
