City girls seem to be smarter than their counterparts who live in the sticks. Yes?
It's just that city girls seem to be more ready to take on the world than those who live in rural areas.

Perhaps my experience was the exception to the rule, but the girls in my hometown in Oregon were smart and tough. There were exceptions in this case too, but I could at least name off two handfuls of girls from this town of 2000 people who could take on anything the world threw at them with deadly style. I moved to Portland after high school, and again, met some fantastic ladies in my time. But I have also met some really, REALLY dumb girls in the city too. And they have a very particular sort of ignorance, very self-satisfied and arrogant, whereas the ignorance of small-town girls is sweet and naive.
Bottom line, intelligent people are going to pop up everywhere and so are stupid people. Both just turn up in big cities disproportionately because of the difference in urban and rural population size, and also because more young intelligent people seeking to further their education are more likely to move to the city.

I wouldn't say smarter but maybe better access to culture and varied education. Internet access seems to level the playing field quite a bit. But I wouldn't attribute this to gender. Certain skills like mechanical skills are more encouraged in the rural areas that don't have the infrastructure that the cities have. OTOH, gender roles seem to be more clearly defined in the sticks so maybe.

I have to disagree. First thing, your question is about the two types' intelligence. But your description, is irrelevant to one's knowledge and just on how they choose to live their lives. City girls have more options are are fed ideals to be stride for the best at whatever they want. They are taught (usually) that they need to look a certain way and be a certain way and to always want more. Country girls, they strive for completely other things. They are more family focused, and work focused (hard work not white collar) and they grew up with less options and less distractions. They are content with their lives and don't need all that city stuff.

City girls *seem* that way, yes. They are good at putting on a show of bravado and hubris. They also 10x more likely to be full of sh!t and have serious personality disorders, esp girls from the suburbs. Only inner-city girls are a match.

City girls might have more awareness about some things - The rural upbringing and life will have it's own experiences and life lessons. Those girls have knowledge we don't.

It's not that they're smarter, they just have different things they need to know, given the different lifestyles. Although most learning centres (colleges/universities etc) are located in more built up areas, as opposed to out in the middle of nowhere
Btw, this applies to all people, not just females

City girls are spoiled mostly. Rural area girls are generally better brought up and have more successful family life.

there may be more opportunity in the city but the countryside is perfect inspiration for creativity and genius. take the Bronte sisters from Howarth , Yorkshire for example. some city girls i would not call smart. it takes all sorts.

I've lived in the city and the country, and I haven't noticed a difference.

city girls are more likely to thrive of a snobby mentality (right up on their high horse).. Country girls are usually more humble and real
