When using dumbbells how many reps should you do for a workout?

I know you are supposed to take breaks between reps but how many should I be looking to do in all?

8 reps will build strength if you are using heavy weights while anything over 15 will build endurance. Im not sure though so maybe check out some websites like livestrong.

If its isolation your looking for in muscles then dumbbell curls are it. They add peak to your existing muscles. The rep range is around 6 to 8 range say for. 3 sets

Dnt over work your arms, doing too many sets and reps fatigue them.

If its muscle mass you want, stick to compound exercises. Like barbell curls in the 6 to 8 range and 4 sets
