Is there a huge difference between going for a 1 ohm wired sub over 4 ohm in quality?

I am getting 2 15 inch alpine subs with dual 4 ohm voice coils. So my options are 1 and 4 ohm wiring. The 4 is very pricey but from what I hear the bass has better quality with mor ohms and better bass with less. Is there a huge difference between them?

first of all you need a 1 ohms stable amp to so that going lower in ohms will give you more power to the subwoofer it will give it a more muddy sound though you will have more clarity at 4ohms. if i were you i would go with dual 2 ohms subwoofers

I went from 4 ohms to 1 ohm and the only thing i noticed is that you need to turn the headunit up about 6-7 more notches to get as loud as before.
