  • Where can i find a true dual exhaust system?

I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 6.0L engine and im wanting to run a true dual system in my vehicle with no mufflers, and preferablly no cats either yet still has O2 Sensor ports. Does anyone make them for sale online, if so who?

If not where can I find a replacment downpipe from the header that consists of the cats and O2 sensor ports? My truck has 2 seperate pipes all the way up until where the muffler was so its not considered a Y-pipe from the header collectors

  • Looking for a header back exhaust system for my Silverado?

I have a 1999 Chevy silverado 2500 4x4 that has the 6.0L engine. Ive been recently looking around for some header back exhaust systems but cant seem to find anything other than catback systems. Are there any companies that make header back systems that will fit on my vehicle, if so what are the brands so I can look into them? Any help would be appreciated.

If there is no header back systems who would make a cat back system with dual out the back without the muffler?

  • ABS and Brake light come on after driving, pulsing pedal on hard brake even stopped?

I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado with 4x4 and the 6.0L Vortec Engine. After driving for about 5-10 minutes the ABS and Brake light come on at the exact same time and whenever i push the brakes hard I can feel the pedal pulsing. I have checked the fluid and it is at the required level. I went into get the codes scanned at a Chevy dealership and they said they think it is the EBCM (Electronic Brake Contol Module). Im not overly confident in their diagnosis as they also said one of my 4 O2 Sensors were missing yet I just checked and they are all in their respective place.

Is there anyway that I can verify or find out what could be causing this?

On another note the previous owner did put larger rims and tires, a lift, and brakes not to long before I purchased it and he stated that they came on because the computer was not programed for the larger tires yet, which im not sure that would cause a problem besides for the speedometer being off.

I have a 1999 Chevy silverado 2500 with the 6.0L engine. Recently i just got larger tires put on and fairly new brakes as well and when I drive for about 5-10min both the Parking Brake and the ABS light come on at the same exact time.

  • What are the differences running subs at 4ohms vs 1omh?

I have 2 15 inch subwoofers that can be ran at either 4 ohms or 1 ohm. I would like to know what are the differences between 1 ohm and 4 ohm. Ive heard some stuff about 4 ohms being better sound quality (hardly noticable), better on the charging system, and better on subwoofer and amplifier performance. Are these true?

Just let me know what you know about the differences. I know its harder to get 1500 watts at 4 ohm than getting 1500 watts at 1 ohm for the price range but besides the price what are some benefits?

  • What would be a better amp choice wiring 2 alpine 15 inch dvc 4ohm subs out of these?

Ive got 2 alpine Type-R 15 inch subs with dvc at 4ohms. They are rated for 750w rms and 2000w peak on each. I have a few amps that i have found and want to know what you would recommend out of the ones i picked, or if you want point me to another that is better:

    4Ohm Setup:

    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_45518_Alpine-M...

    1Ohm Setup:

    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_44489_Hifonics...

    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23547_Hifonics...

This is just some i found quickly in my power rating of 1500w rms for the 2 subwoofers running from 1 amp. If running off of 2 amps would be better please let me know.

  • Finding an amplifier for 2 alpine 15 inch (4ohm+4ohm) on each sub?

As i stated i have 2 alpine 15 inch type r subwoofers that both have dual voice coils rated at 4 ohms (4ohm+4ohm) they are rated at 750w rms and 2000w peak on each. I am in need of an amplifier to match. I am planning on keeping them at 4 ohm if possible.

Do i need a 2 channel or 1 channel amplifier to start? Also since i have 2 subwoofers at 750w rms each would i need to get about 1500w rms on the amplifier on one channel or 750w rms per channel or would a single channel amp only require 750w?

  • What amp should i run with 2 alpine type r 15's. Dual 4ohm coils on each sub?

I have 2 alpine type-r 15 inch subwoofers that have dual voice coils (4ohm+4ohm) rated at 750w rms that i need to find an amp for. Im trying to stray away from just going 1 ohm load because i dont want to stress the amp or the power system. I am either going to go with 2 seperate amps making 2 seperate 2 ohm loads or getting a 4 ohms setup (running both subs to one amp).

Primarily i want to get 2 run them to 2 ohms because it is easier to find an amp that can push 750w rms at 2ohms than to look for a single amp that pushes 750w at 4ohms. Please let me know of some brands and models that would work.

  • Would i be able to wire 2 dual coil subs to 2 seperate amps?

I have 2 alpine 15 inch subwoofers both with dual voice coils rated at 4 ohms per coil (4+4). I want to try to get 2 seperate amps they are rated at 750w max rms. Would i be able to do this easily? If i was to go with this configuration would each of the wiring circuits to the subs be rated at 2 ohms?

  • Is it better to wire 2 dual coil subs to 1 amp or 2 amps?

Ive got 2 alpine 15 inch subs which have dual coils rated at 4 ohms (4ohm + 4ohm). They are rated for 750w max rms and 2000w max power each. Im looking to get them wired at 4 ohms rather than going all the way down to 1 ohm because i want the better quality, and the longer lasting setup.

Would it be better to get 2 amps rated at 750w rms or find one rated at 1500w rms and just bridge the voice coils. Also would I be able to use one amp that has 2 channels and use both of the channels?

Sorry im still learning a bit about wiring and im looking for amps that would match my subwoofers.

  • Would this amp work for my 2 subs?

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Power+Acoustik+-+5500W...

I have 2 alpine 15 inch subs with dual 4 ohm voice coils on each (4+4ohms). They are rated at 750w continuous and 2000w peak. I am going to try wiring them at 4 ohms by bridging and just want to know if this amp would be a good choice. Do you know of any better choices? If so what?

  • Would i need a 2 channel amp to connect to 2 subs with dual voice coils?

I have 2 alpine 15 inch subs with dual coils rated at 4 ohms (4+4) which, from what I've heard, I can wire it at either 1 or 4 ohms. My plan is to go the harder route and go for 4 ohms. Would I need to find a 2 channel amp rated at 750w at 4 ohms per channel or would I be able to get a 1500w at 4 ohms on 1 channel and just bridge the sub.

  • Is there a huge difference between going for a 1 ohm wired sub over 4 ohm in quality?

I am getting 2 15 inch alpine subs with dual 4 ohm voice coils. So my options are 1 and 4 ohm wiring. The 4 is very pricey but from what I hear the bass has better quality with mor ohms and better bass with less. Is there a huge difference between them?

  • What kind of amp specs should i look for? i have 2 15 inch subs with dual 4 ohm coils?

I currently have 2 alpine 15 inch subs that have dual 4 ohm voice coils. They are rated at 750w rms and 2000w peak. I'm looking to wire the subs to 4 ohms and need to find a sub that will provide the power to both. I've taken a look at a bunch but I can't seem to find one with enough rms at 4 ohms. Any advice for how to look.

I have 2 alpine 15 inch subs with dual 4 ohm voice coils on each. My goal is to wire them up to be 4 ohms as a first choice but maybe down to 2ohms. What kind of power would be required and what kind of amp?

The two subs are the 1542D rated at 750w max rms and 2000 peak power
