Would this amp work for my 2 subs?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Power+Acoustik+-+5500W...

I have 2 alpine 15 inch subs with dual 4 ohm voice coils on each (4+4ohms). They are rated at 750w continuous and 2000w peak. I am going to try wiring them at 4 ohms by bridging and just want to know if this amp would be a good choice. Do you know of any better choices? If so what?

Update:

This would be the wiring that i would be doing

Yes the amp will work in theory no problem with those subs, which might not even mind being overdriven, however power acoustic is not a good brand at all so chances are it wont be making the advertised power and will not last nearly as long as a good amp would at that very high power level. Your problem is though that you need so much power to drive those subs that a good amp like a jl or and alpine will run you 500 or more, but the difference between a good amp and something like that power acoustics is the same as between pyle subs and those alpines. So feed those big 15's with a good amp.

Here is one that will be slightly underpowered but mtx is a very good brand and you can bet it is at least 1200 watts rms and your subs will work fine if you wire them to 1 ohm.

Yes it would, but once you set the gain where it should be I would turn it down a wee bit more because the amp you are looking at will output 300 more watts RMS than your subwoofers can handle, which could burn them out.

it would work but eventually something will burn out the amp will probally go first since it is a mono amp its ment for one speaker not two
