Finding an amplifier for 2 alpine 15 inch (4ohm+4ohm) on each sub?
As i stated i have 2 alpine 15 inch type r subwoofers that both have dual voice coils rated at 4 ohms (4ohm+4ohm) they are rated at 750w rms and 2000w peak on each. I am in need of an amplifier to match. I am planning on keeping them at 4 ohm if possible.
Do i need a 2 channel or 1 channel amplifier to start? Also since i have 2 subwoofers at 750w rms each would i need to get about 1500w rms on the amplifier on one channel or 750w rms per channel or would a single channel amp only require 750w?

"Dual 4 ohm coil subs can be wired one of three ways.
All in series for a total of 16 ohms.
In a series/parallel configuration for 4 ohms.
All in parallel for a total of 1 ohm.
Your options to sufficient power will be much larger if you run them all in parallel. Finding an amp that puts out 1,500 watts RMS @ 1 ohm is a lot cheaper and easier than finding one that puts out 1,500 watts @ 4 ohms."
That's the answer I gave you the last time you asked this question, to which you responded
"Yeah but the only issue is that I wanted to get 4 ohms rather than 1 for more quality bass"
Then proceeded to give me the best answer (which I thank you for).
The thing is, just because an amp can be wired and ran with a 1 ohm load does not mean the quality of the bass will be lower. Amplifier efficiency goes down, but not necessarily the quality of the music. I just wanted the opportunity to explain that to you.
Now, moving forward, if you want an amplifier that will put out 1,500 watts @ 4 ohms, expect to pay a lot of money for a quality amplifier because 1,500 watts @ 4 ohms is going to require a quality amplifier.
If I was looking to accomplish what you are (which I never would) here are the brands I would pick from.

You will need an amp with 1500 watts rms at 1ohm. I havent seen an amp that does 1500rms on 4ohm. You can use a one channel amp and just wire the two subwoofers together down to a 1ohm load. Hifonics 1700.1 would be great for them and very cheap for its performance. It is also cea certified. Here is the wiring diagram

Should be fine. The 15" Type R is rated at 750 watts RMS; the amp is rated for 1500 watts at 1 ohm, so it should match up well. You should ignore "Peak" or "max" power ratings when looking at amps or subs.
