Help cleaning a couch?

I have a cloth couch (not sure of the fabric). It is a nightmare to clean! Even a water drip of condensation from a drink leaves a water stain! Any ideas on how to clean it?

You can use Capture. It is in a kit. You get a brush, a bottle of spray & a container of powder. You spray the liquid on the couch and rub it in with the brush. Then you sprinkle the powder on the couch and rub it in with the brush. Wait at least 45 minutes then vacuum. You can sit on your couch as soon as you are done vacuuming. The kit cost about $15 at Home Depot.

If your couch is so sensitive to liquids, I'd suggest you have a cleaning company give you an estimate to clean it. It should be done chemically rather than steaming. If you bought it over the last year or so, maybe you can find out from the store what the fabric is, and how to clean it.

You are describing a miserable product called Microfiber. Best to have it professionally cleaned and perhaps Scotchguarded. To locate this pro near you, go to www.iicrc.org.
