Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth or "The law of the Yukon" ?
Which of these statements do you think is the most likely to effect mankind? The "Law of the Yukon" is a poem written by Robert W. Service published in 1907. The final verse is "This is the law of the Yukon, that only the Strong shall survive; That surely the weak shall perish, and only the Fit survive.
Dissolute, damned and despairful, crippled and palsied and slain,
This is the Will of the Yukon,-Lo! howshe makes it plain!

well, usefulness is dependent on the parameters of a situation..both of them are obviously ridiculous if taken seriously in exact literal meaning though the strong and sane would make more sense.. especially since weakness doesn't correlate with intelligence nor anything else,
though any spiritual speculation could delve into the unpredictable situations such as when everyone dies for some reason gods like, hay you weak people, want the earth? but probably irrelevant

Many Christians believe they are going to heaven so they may not even recognize that verse you cited even though its only 2 verses down from the one that says "the heavens belong to them."
JWs have long taught that their are 2 destinies for the righteous, since man was first created on Earth perfect w/ the prospect of eternal life it stands to reason since God being God that his purpose will still be exactly that...
Revelations mentions a specific number as being sealed for the heavenly hope - after all what good is ruling w/ Christ as kings and priests if there are no subjects in his kingdom over which to govern.

Jesus said, You are of this world, I am not of this world. The law of the Yukon falls under the laws of this world, the meek that Jesus talked about are born of the spirit and live by the laws of that world, and are no longer subject to the laws of this world. Our fate is no longer in the hands of fate but are safe in the hands of God.
