Thinking about switching to direct tv?

My Dish package is almost up to it get up to 418 I believe with local channels and Sirius radio.

But dish doesn't have a good sports package they got rid of MLB extra innings a few years back.

And they don't have Sirius xm sports or talk.

Also I'm a big basketball and baseball fan, and I know dish has nba league pass but like I said not MLB extra innings.

Should I switch and can anybody tell me the differences?

Also you see the dish commercial saying direct TV gives them a big bill later is that true?

I've had Direct TV for about 3 years now...

I have never subscribed to the NBA/MLB packages...so I can't comment on them...but I am an annual subscriber to the NFL Sunday Ticket...and it's completely worth it.

As far as the "Big Bill" thing...

When you initially sign up for Direct TV...you will most likely have a promotional rate. When that promotional rate ends...your bill will go to what the normal rates are. That is what Dish is talking about...The thing is though...Direct TV gives you a printout (at least when you order online) that shows you what your rates are for the whole contract. So - it shows you that in month 4 (after the 3 month promo is over) your rate is "x". Then in month 13 (after the 12 month promos are over) the rate is "y".

So - yes...after a year, your paying the normal rates. But you are shown up front EXACTLY what those rates are...and (at least for me) that regular price was still better than what I had been paying with another provider.

Bottom Line: YES Switch to Direct TV.

Direct TV also has refer a friend discounts for customers ($10 off for 10 months). The new customer gets the discount and so does the friend. If you need...you can use my refer a friend account number: 45559353. Just give it to them when ordering...and you get $10 off for 10 months and so do I.

I can't comment on the sports package, only on the "big bill" part of your question. I just received my first bill from Direct TV this month and it is exactly as was quoted to me. No hidden charges. Plus I had to pay nothing at all extra for installation, I was charged for monthly service only. Very good deal.

i'm interior the technique of adjusting over myself. have already got the recent direct television put in. i've got used the two and that they are extremely comparable in provider and value. Bundles are meant to save your cash yet pay attention, it take some months for all the billing to get related. I did a quad (4) equipment and nonetheless have not got the direct television on the same bill. till all of it gets bundled, you pay for all of it one after the other..
