Rape is a highly emotive issue and the idea of "innocent until proven guilty" is usually thrown out the window and society treats anyone accused of rape as automatically guilty until proven innocent.

False accusations do happen and men are put in prison on accusations alone with no evidence other than the word of the accuser. Often some men are let out of prison years later because the accuser has changed her story.

Because of what I mentioned above, I do NOT support torture, mutilation or execution. What happens if we hang a guy accused of rape then the "victim" says he didn't rape her at all? Can we bring him back to life?

It depends on the rape. I do not believe that all rape can be categorised as equal.

I am not negating the seriousness of any rape experience, but the experience of changing your mind after sexual intercourse is initiated and being forced to completion, and the experience of being horrifically beaten and abused by one or more strangers has got to have qualitatively different impacts upon the victim.

Similary, rape of young children or sexual coersion of children, including paedophilia for profit should incur the same sentencing as violent rape.

For those kinds of rape and child abuse the sentence should be life imprisonment without any chance of parole because, lets face it, they are tantamount to torture.

But, before we do that, we have to separate the types of rape. Many like to think all rape is the same. But, having sex with a drunk women without her knowledge or consent is categorically not the same as luring a woman on a bus, gang raping her, beating her with pipes, and ripping our her intenstines. These are two completely different crimes deserving two completely different punishments.

Rape is barely even on the top five worst crimes. The things they are saying people should be punished for rape is far higher on the worst crimes than rape. Seriously, these women are just so immature. How much do you want to bet that they think the opposite of false rape allegations, even when a man would suffer more from being falsely accused of rape than the woman does from actually being raped?

This just demonstrates the immaturity and irrational behaviors in which women should not have areas of power. Just look at them all. Yes, rape is bad, nobody is saying it isn't, but to say that someone should be tortured, mutilated, and/or killed for it...? That's the type of mind set women have.

Keep in mind, these are the same people that sit there and say men are to walk away when a woman hits a man. A woman commits a crime on a man, he should just walk away. Man commits crime on woman? Mutilate him, torture him, kill him.

Again, are you women seriously baffled when men think there is no room for women to be in positions of power? Really.

It's an interesting thing how women here think rapists should be punished more than how murderers are punished, isn't it? Rapists should be given far harsher punishments such as torture and mutilation, things a murderer would not have done to them, and why? Because the cvictims of rapists tend to be female. That is the core reason here.

I am a rape victim. Since I am male, there is only one area for me to get raped, which is not a sexual part of the body. From that, I have probably survived a rape most women do not go through. Even I, someone that went through a rape worse than average rape due to not having a vagina, think that the punishment women above are saying is just pathetic, and I would not even think the person that raped me should have that done to them.

You want to know why women are not in positions of power, ladies? Look above. This type of thinking/mentality is why.
