Should I drop out of college? (Please, please, help!)?
I started sixth form college in september and I really hate it.
I have only a couple of friends there, and it's so so stressful.
I'm naturally intelligent, and I'm aiming to get all A's in my exams. But my exams are next week and I haven't revised at all. I feel like I know nothing and I'm not at all prepared. I've been so depressed, I can't bring myself to do anything, let alone revise.
College is stressing me out so much that it's gotten to the point about a month ago where I actually overdosed and tried to kill myself.
I can feel myself getting to that point again, and I honestly think college is going to kill me by the end of this year. I can feel it.
I really want to quit college but I know I won't get anywhere without qualifications. I wanted to go to uni to become a psychiatrist, but college has put me off higher education for life, so that's completely down the drain.
Basically I want to know what my other options are? Should I drop out of college? Or maybe take an easy vocational course instead of 4 AS level subjects? Will I still have any prospects in life if I have only my GCSE qualifications?
I honestly don't know what to do, but I don't think I can last much longer like this.
Please help.

First and foremost, don't kill yourself. Take a step back and think: How can I make getting an education easier? Is it the school that causes problems? Or the academics? If its the school, than you can consider transferring or even getting an online degree.
If it's the academics than you can find a way to make classes easier. Take less classes, change your major, or get rid of your minor. You can cut out a class or two, and take some of them online during the summer.
Or, take the semester off (or maybe take one class online), and just relax and pull yourself back together.

Are you in treatment for your mental health issues? If you are not, then you really, really need to be. And if you are, then it needs more time, or your treatment may need to be adjusted, but you need to be talking to a therapist about all this.
Your mental health issues are severely impacting your ability to live life the way you want to. You have absolutely no idea if you could be successful in college or uni, because your health issues are too severe right now to allow you to succeed. If you can get into proper treatment/therapy, and get your health back under control, you may well find that you are able to succeed at college. Maybe not *this* college, but some other place where you can do your A levels or equivalent.
Your health is more important than these A level exams. If that means you need to leave this college immediately, so you can focus on getting the help you need, then do so. But don't make any decisions re: A levels, BTEC or anything else until you start getting your health back under control.

Sounds like you are really in a tough position. It's up to you but since you say you know nothin and the exams are next week you are pretty much screwed as far as that goes. Let me explain something to you right now that I had to find out the hard way. Absolutely nothing is worth taking your life over. Things in life get tough and stressful. That's how it works but if you don't do things in life that are tough then nothing good will happen. I understand how you feel and my suggestion is to just take a step back from your whole situation. Take a deep breath chances are you really didn't even meet your true friends yet so that you have nothing to worry about. You need to just work for your life right now. There can be very worse things in life. Yeah you will probably fail the finals but you know what, there is always another chance. This isn't the only final in the world. I know it's frustrating that your going to have to take the class again and do it all over agin but what's quicker another course or your entire life. As far as the tech thing goes, that's not a bad option. But college shows employers how you have what it takes to be in college. It takes alot of guts to say what you just said but just remember there is always a second chance. -Brandon

im so sorry to hear that you are feeling depressed.
if you are finding it hard and really dont like it, i would suggest you quit. your health is more important than your education. maybe talk to your parents aboout it?
or maybe you are just finding your course hard? maybe you need to change courses. you say you have exams, maybe a course work based subject where you have no exams is ideal for you. i did an art degree at college and there was no exams, just corse work.
having said that, i started uni this year and i love it. maybe you just need to stick it out and it might get better.
i hope that eveything gets better for you though and work out what you need to do x

Try talking to a counsellor and/or careers adviser about your options; A-Levels aren't the only way to get to Uni so they should be able to help you with your choices
Try and find something to motivate yourself and try not to think negative thoughts

I suggest you to stop wasting your time on websites such as this, and start studying for your exams!
