Is the autoharp easy to learn and hard to tune?

I'm writing songs lately and people I show to say they're very good. I don't know to play any instrument which saddens me. I was thinking about the piano but I'm 19 so that's a little bit late for that I think. So, the autoharp appeals to me lately (because of its sound and size) , is it true that it's easy to learn and hard to tune?

Yeah, pretty easy to pick up enough to play chords to a few songs. Tuning isn't that hard now that electronic chromatic tuners are readily available. There are a lot of strings but they hold tuning a fairly long time. You do need the correct wrench (mine came from Elderly Instruments, I think).

Used autoharps tend to go pretty cheap. I've owned several but they're hard to sell, compared to guitars.
