    1. The odds of you selecting an E are 2/10, or 1/5. After you pick out an E, there are 9 letters left, only one of which is an E; 1/9. The odds of both of these events happening are 1/5 * 1/9 = 1/45.

    2. 1+4; 2+3; 3+2; 4+1

^Those are the only possible ways to roll a sum of 5. There are 6*6 = 36 possible permutations to roll; 4 of them add up to 5. 4/36 = 1/9.

    3. 5/9 * 4/8 = 20/72 = 5/18 (using the same logic as the first two problems)

    4. The odds of Ann getting an apple drink are 25/(12 + 4 + 25) = 25/41. After she gets a drink, there are 40 drinks left. The odds of Mark getting a grape drink are 4/40, or 1/10. The odds of both events happening are 25/41 * 1/10 = 25/440 = 5/82.

    2/10 * 3/9 = 1/15

    sample (1+4, 2+3, 3+2, 4+1) >> 1/9

    5/9 * 4/8 = 5/18

    25/41*4/40 or 4/41*25/40 both same = 5/82

    1) What is the pool of letters?

    2) 1/9 since your sample space is 36 and your event is 4 so 4/36=1/9

    3) (5/9) x (4/8) = 5/18

    4) (25/41) x (4/40) = 5/82
