Ok for all you that say the Star Wars Prequels were bad i got a simple question for ya?

Ive heard people try to claim that the prequels took away from story of the originals.

But yet:

Early life of Anakin

Clone Wars

Battle Between Obiwan and Anakin

Rise of Vader

Destruction of the jedi

Rise of the Emporer

Sure all fits since ive seen the original many many times.

So whats so off key

Update:

and after you answer that one

I dare you to say, those who claim too many cheesy lines,

that the originals werent any better

Update 2:

well considering the story is set 20+ years before EP 4 that would have been impossible for Han to be in it other then as a kid.

Even Lucas said that

Well, I'm old enough to have seen the originals when they first came out. I don't really love or hate one trilogy more than the other. In one interview/documentary, I remember hearing George Lucas say that Vader became such an iconic villian that it was hard to reconcile the character with the prequel versions. Example: an innocent child or an angst ridden teenager. Perhaps if they had made him older in The Phantom Menace, it might not have seemed like the movie was targeted at children.

People don't like Jar-Jar. I'm one of them. But honestly, I think Threepio is just as annoying sometime.

    1. In the originals, Yoda is said to have trained obi-wan...who the hell is qui-gon?

    2. The guy who played anikan was terrible

    3. we were expecting anikan to be older in ep 1, as to further progress the story

    4. ep 1 and 2 were way too "kiddy"

    5. Jar Jar Binks...nuff said

    6. yes actually, way too many cheesy lines, for example, the build up of the fight between anikan and obi-wan was such a terrible scene it makes me cringe every time.

    7. Anikan was more like an angst ridden teenager than a jedi master

    8. too many "im sad, ive lost my daddy/mommy" moments (boba fett, anikan)

    9. old school fans were promised something much better that lucas simply didnt deliver

    10. We were told Han Solo would make an appearance, as he was an officer in the Imperial Navy

    11. The all around story was not consistant at all with the originals, and if you think it all fits, you need to pay more attention, because very little of it actually does.

@Daniel, if you HATED the originals, you are simply not a star wars fan, sorry. The only thing ill give the prequels is that the last 45 min of Ep 3 were pretty good, aside from that, 100% crap

EDIT: Han was supposed to make an appearance close to the end of episode 3, which was NOT supposed to be 20+ years before, the time line was completely skewed from what was originally planned.

I actually loved the prequels, but, overall, hardcore adherents were annoyed at how vastly different the prequels "felt" in comparison to the originals. Honestly, I HATE the originals, but maybe that's because I'm only 13, so the nostalgia of the older films to older fans leads them to hating the new films. However, why the HELL did they bring science into the force in the first film when Qui Gon was explaining the force to Anakin. It ruined the "magical" feeling of Star Wars :(. However, I have heard that George Lucas purposely sabotaged the first film in an attempt to force his advisers to allow him more time, but they actually liked it LOL.

@ElephantFarts I'm sorry, but it seemed so silly at times. Again, I wasn't born at the time, so I may seem biased. For example, how does a smuggler and a princess eliminate an entire brigade of imperials?
