How to make my High Compressed motor exhaust sound less louder on my Chevy?

I have a 57 bel air with a 12:1 compression, the exhaust is dumped before the rear end the car just sounds extremely loud, I know I can run pipes all the way to make it less quiet, but it won't make much of a difference, is there a muffler I can add to make it less quiet? Im running flowmasters. Here is a video of the Bel air.

NO. you may in basic terms strengthen the noise by using changing the factors in the exhaust equipment ie removing the silencer aspects of the exhaust pay attention although because of fact there are limits to how lots noise a motor vehicle can produce and we does no longer desire a tug from the police for noise would we.

Something like that is supposed to be loud!

About all you can do without killing performance is install a cross-over pipe in the exhaust.

well,,,cool video btw,,,you could try glass pack mufflers,,,they are still loud but quieter than no mufflers at all,,,,good luck,
