I did aikido a wing chun together. Did it for 3 years. We did not grade in wc and got to 4kyu in aikido. I stoped wc and my aikido improved now im 2kyu im glad i just studied one art.

Aikido is a martial art we learn how to strike. Wing chun weight is back aikido weight forward wing chun power in elbows aikido your hands are alive arms relaxed. Both arts attack the center wing chun stuck facing attacker center line aikido freedom of movement. Go anywhere but weight forward. My advice stick to aikido

Yes, there are many aspects of both those arts that go hand-in-hand. I would caution you about tackling two martial arts at a time however. How proficient are you in aikido? Are you Dan rank yet? Could your practice of wing chun interfere with your aikido? I would say before you start wing chun get your aikido to a level where it will help shape your wing chun and not hinder it. I'm all for crossing over to different arts but, don't do it at the expense of an art you love.

I think that combining any striking martial art with aikido is a good thing for several reasons:

some aikido teachers have never practiced a striking art.

This leads to underestimation of the speed and direction of certain attacks.

It is good to know how you might be attacked by a martial artist.

Learning the striking art prior to aikido is common. The best aikidoka I have met have learned additional arts.

It is confusing learning two martial arts though, as what is correct practice in one might be frowned up on in the other. However the benefits probably outweigh the disadvantages.

O sensei himself practiced many styles of jujutsu and sword before he developed aikido.

Go for it and decide yourself.

Yes, a very good combination. Wing Chun also experiment with trapping and some grappling. It would be easy to transition into.
