Why should residents of Washington DC have to pay taxes, since they have no representation in Congress?

Our entire country's revolution was based on the idea of No taxation w/o representation. So why should DC residents pay not only federal, but also district taxes?

Update:

You are all three wrong on both the facts and the law (i.e. Congress does NOT represent district representatives; some of the highest paid people in the country live in the District; and while everyone should pay taxes, NO ONE should have to pay taxes for a government that does not represent them).

it really is most definitely no longer placed in Virginia, it really is that is own self reliant city and district (produced from land ceded to the United State by technique of Maryland and Virginia, the Virginia section become later given back). that is the seat of america authorities and as such is totally unique interior america. It has its own city council and mayor to make judgements, yet all judgements could be approved by technique of Congress (it really is an exceedingly contentious project). So is it a city? definite. Is it a capital? definite (of america).

They DO have representation in Congress. They're living in Congress's city. The WHOLE CONGRESS represents them.

Since most of the residents of DC pay no income tax anyway... I don't think your question really makes sense.
