Forgotten speeding ticket in CA?
I received a speeding ticket in San Francisco, CA in September 2011. I completely forgot about the ticket because it was around my daughters birthday. And i have a bunch of other things to worry about as well.
Anyway!! I received a letter that my license will be suspended soon because I never appeared in court. I don't want/need my license to be suspended.
The people at the courthouse did tell me it wasn't possible to set a court date, but is there any possible way to speak with a judge about making payments?

Somtimes you can just right a letter to the court/judge explaining your situation and they will work with you..

You may need to talk to consult a lawyer. If you check your local newspaper, you should see ads for free consultations. And if they can help you, then it might be worth the money.
In this case, a professional can help you avoid your license getting suspended.

You will need to schedule a court date to speak with a traffic commissioner. They will not see you outside of court to discuss court matters - it has to be on the record. FYI: I do not believe the court takes payments.

I think if you spoke to the court clerk honestly, & tell him/her what happened, they will work something out. I'd go there in person, not by phone or email
