How much baby food (exactly) should my baby be eating a day & how much formula?
My son just turned 9 months old on the 4th & I am wondering if I am feeding him to much formula & not enough baby food. Please help!

At 9 months, I would expect a baby to be having solids 3 times a day (at meal times), but to still be taking at least 500-600ml of milk (formula or breast milk) every day (16-20oz).
If you are concerned that your baby is taking too much formula and not enough food, try offering him food first, then a bottle afterwards so that he fills up on food rather than formula.

at 9 months old your son should be eating regular foods as well as 3-4 bottles per day. each bottle should be 4 scoops of formula per 8 oz of water so one of the tall bottles.
My son is 13 months old and is eating baby food and only has 2 tall bottles per day. one in the AM and on in the PM before bed. he does great and is able to feed himself.

By nine months he should probably eat one stage two baby food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And I'm guessing roughly 24 oz of formula. And if he wants to snack inbetween a little it's fine. That's what my sons pediatrician said at least :)

3-5 feedings of 6-8oz each of formula. You can start offering this in a cup, with no lid to start weaning from bottle ,continue to give formula it is still necessary.3-5 Tbs.infant cereal twice a day.4-8Tbs strained veggies,daily.4Tbs of fruit strained,daily.1-3Tbs strained plain baby food meat, daily.you can give egg yolk only now.You can also offer2-4 oz.daily infant fruit juice, although not necessary.9-12 mo.begin chopped table food, such as green beans, peas, carrots, lean ground meat, peeled soft fruit, potato, cooked dry beans. Can also add bread and cereal group-1/2slice bread or1/2cup cereal or other bread items 3-4times daily.

as much as he wants. there is no "exactly". every baby is different. babies know better than us how much they need. he will eat when hungry and stop when full. but with that said, according to my doctor, at 9 months your baby can eat whatever you're eating (except peanut butter, eggs, shellfish)
