Update:

Dear Jit,

Thanks for your answer. It really worked. But whenever I go to my contacts, my account or other sites of this nature, I'm landing back on the new yahoo mail, which I never asked or wanted. Howcan I get rid of the new yahoo mail on my laptop? Or do I have to lauch the classic version each time?

Is there a way to save my yahoo classic again? In my homepage it is still there?

Sorry to bother you again but I'm helpless. Thanks so much for your time and best regards, Irene

    Hi Irene,

You can return to Yahoo! classic by visiting http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launchIt (as long as this option is available). However, please note that you'll be missing all the latest features and functionality of the New Yahoo! Mail in the older versions.

Alternatively, you can disable the Javascript option in your browser to get the option to go back to Yahoo! classic.

In Firefox go to Tools and open Options.

Under the Content tab UNCHECK “Enable JavaScript”.

Open Yahoo mail URL and login using your id and password.

A notice will appear saying that JavaScript is needed to be enabled for using the new Yahoo! Mail. There you’ll see two options to return to a previous version of Yahoo! Mail. Choose the first option to switch just for one time or second option to return to a previous version. Now you are back to the classic version.

In order to access all web sites properly, don’t forget to Enable JavaScript from the Content tab under Options in Firefox.

Hope this information was helpful. :)
