Can't send new emails or reply to emails right now, first time ever in 13+ years...?

same here.

yahoo mail was hacked last night and apparently the repairs have gone horribly wrong. at least half of their servers remain down. it's a mess.

I don't think it's anything to worry about. I have the same problem and I've noticed that others have been experiencing the same thing. Since we are not the only ones, then we may assume that Yahoo! knows about this glitch and will have it sorted as soon as possible. At least let's hope so.

yep...me too...I'm hoping this is a Yahoo nightmare that I'll wake from in the morning....and not a virus on my system.
