He only wants to see me once a week?

Question

I am a widow, of 18 months now, was married or 32 years.  I met this guy and we connected.  He has been divorced for 17 years.  The first was great, he called, texted and saw each other a lot.  Now he only wants to see me on Tuesday night, dinner, sex, and spend the night.  He wants to spend weekend with his Friends, says to watch football. He says when football is over, things will be different. Since I am new at this, should I except this for what it is, or ask for more.

I think you already know this is a big red flag. He has told you in not so many words that you are less important to him than football and friends. He's just not that "in" to you as they say. I hope you will not place too much importance or waste too much time on this guy and keep your options open for the right guy.

Try to subtly work it into your conversation so that you get to discover what he does on the other 6 nights. Being divorced doesn't mean he doesn't have a girlfriend living with him and Tuesday night happens to be his "night out". Always be subtly suspicious where there are unexplained discrepancies in time because there is always a reason behind it.

If you want a fvck friend on Tuesday nights then stick with him, if you want more of a relationship then find someone else. He's not going to be who you hope he will be, he's in it for the sex only.
