Exactly how do I collect Unemployment benefits?
I havent collected unemployment since 1986. Am a regional trucker and a landlord. In a few days my employer will terminate me as I am phycically unable to perform my job, they gave me 4 months of leave and the health issue I have is a foot infection. The infection I could have lost all or part of my right leg, am on the last part of recouperating. Maybe mid febuary I will be able to function with 2 legs.
I was told by my doctor to collect unemployment. What will the government require me to do to make them happy about me finding looking for work nowdays? I think they want proof of me looking for work in any workplace, only I have no inclination of working I just need to collect till I heal up at the latest march. And I will be back on the road driving professional I have 15 years exp. Do I tell unemployment personal about my health condition? I dont believe telling unemployment about my rental property is a good idea.

Try to beat the system & You lose!
Better to go on Disability ......
By the time you file unemp .... it will be March B 4 you see a check ....
If you "forget" to mention the Rental income, the IRS AND State will come after you.

You cannot collect unemployment if you are unable to work.
Committing fraud is never a smart move.
