When can I file my taxes in 2013?
I'm just curious if there is now a certain time frame when I can file my taxes.I ask because I've been hearing from several people (including my job) that I won't be able to file my taxes until sometime in March,but I've already received my W2 from my workplace. I file through H & R block and haven't been able to find anything about not being able to file until March,(I've tried calling as well but its all automated,no live person)so any advice on what you've heard or been told as well is much appreciated.

Yesterday the IRS announced they will begin processing returns for most taxpayers on January 30. Some people will have to wait until February or March, but those are individuals with specific (and relatively rare) tax issues.

IRS is not accepting tax returns until Jan 30 some businesses will be delayed until Feb and March
efiling with one of the companies will only mean yours will be lined up with the millions of others and first in, first processed

For most people, January 30th is now the starting date.
There a bunch of forms that will not be ready until late February or early March but most of these forms do not effect most people.
