HOW DO YOU PUT MUSIC FROM A USB TRAVEL DRIVE INTO ITUNES LIBRARY?
MY FRIEND GAVE ME 16 GIGS OF ALBUMS, I CAN PLAY THEM FROM USB, BUT HOW WOULD I PERMANETLY PUT THEM IN MY ITUNES + IPOD?

have iTunes open, then click and drag all songs from the usb drive onto the iTunes window, and it will copy and sort all songs. Then you can sync all songs to your iPhone/iPod and forget about the USB drive.
Edit: so you added them, it must mean iTunes hasn't copied all files. it should do, because it is default behaviour and very convenient. Anyway, this is how to move them all in:
Connect your drive, then in iTunes, go to File -> Library -> Organize Library
Tick both checkboxes, click OK and wait a bit.
This was for iTunes 11 - the latest version.
In the older versions, look around the menues for "Consolidate Library"
