Computer is really slow when first booted up.?
I have a toshiba satellite laptop with windows 7 and for the past few weeks it has been really slow when it first starts up. I went into msconfig and unchecked some things that didn't seem necessary at startup. But it is still slow for about ten minutes when it first is turned on. Like I click on Internet and it says not responding and won't open. Then I go to task manager and end the task. Then it is usually opens and is able to work good. Other than that though, my computer works pretty fast.
Does anyone have any ideas to fix this? I'm not super computer savey :/

I agree with Evan, your computer most likely still runs too many things at startup. Using software to help clean that up is a good idea. Ccleaner is a decent program, but my personal favorite is Auslogics BoostSpeed, as it does quite a bit more for PC speed. Its startup manager gives you a description of the items to help you make a decision as to whether you should keep or delete them. It has a bunch of other tools to help improve and maintain performance. Hope it helps.

Hi,
Well it is just that Toshiba gives you a lot of softwares pre installed (rather crapware)
So all you got to do is a clean system format, back up the files you need and then format your system,
If you don't feel like formatting, its okay , just Use some softwares like CCleaner, But A system format would be best
