Why does the ads know what im doing?

Example: The ads are next to the video your watching on Youtube.

How do they know what im doing?

I was looking for Need for Speed: Most Wanted the other day, And now the ads are "Need for Speed: Online" and "Buy Need for Speed here!"

The same thing happend when i was looking for a Bazinga shirt, Now ads are about the shirt.

Why is this? Do i need to reinstall Norton? It feels really weird that the ads know what i do...

There are cookies that get installed on your computer. Also Google stores some of your search history in it's database hence the reason why it knows which ads to show.

That's the power of Google... yes they are taking over the world. :)

They are just using your history to sell and introduce you to things you like. A little bit creepy, but nothing to worry about:P
