changed my password on yahoo mail. Now my ipad and iphone cant access my yahoo account, keep getting a message?

Try this: on the problem device/s, open the web browser and login to mail.yahoo.com.

Log in as normal and complete that. Come back to your Settings and re-add the account or re-enter the password. Should work now.

You need to do this for each device

Change Email Password On Iphone

I did not realize that changing my password would create such havoc. It should be easier to update my account on my ipad. Deleting my account and then adding a new account worked. But it should be easier. There should be an option to update my password on my ipad without all the confusion. I was without email for 3 days, because I did not realize what the issue was. A pop up or message saying I need to sign into my account would have saved me a lot of time, energy and effort.

this will solve the problem for IPAD (there is two places to change the password )

1. Go to "Settings"

2. then "Mails, Contacts,and Calendars"

3. Chose yahoo account

4. For Incoming Server :

enter your email user name and the new email password

5. For outgoing server :

enter your email user name and the new email password

i reset my yahoo password on my Ipad first and then logged in Ok on the Iphone. all ok now.... Resetting the yahoo password on my PC still caused problems for the apple devices.

That Yahoo support number s a SCAM!! Stay away!!!

I just easily fixed this. I did part of Justin's answer - go to settings > mail,contacts,calendars > click on your account and update your password. Done.

The phone was fixed by logging out of mail then opening. It automatically asks for new password.

Don't delete accounts! On ipad go to settings, then to mail, contacts, then account that has issue, then click on your email add, then change password to match desktop, wait while it says verifying.... Then wait for check marks, your mail will open now.

Oh iphone do same, except you will have to turn phone off and back on

Go to settings, click on Mail, click on Yahoo, click on Account, change password to new password in Account Info.

even after following everything it wont let me sign in saying wrong password
