    I think the answers are wrong, or the given diagram does not tell the whole story?

    A is (presumably) a solid wire, not a meter with resistance or any such, and is connecting the bottoms of the upper 2 resistors to the tops of the bottom 2. Thus, all 4 resistors connect at a COMMON point. No current can flow between 2 points that are the SAME point.?

    The only current flows through 2 pairs of 2 paralleled resistors, in series. It flows positive to negative, i.e. top to bottom, assuming conventional flow. That current is not any of the answer choices.

    Top pair, equivalent resistance 1 ohm.

    Bottom pair, equivalent resistance (6 x 2) / (6 + 2) = 1.5 ohms.

    Total resistance across 9V. is 2.5 ohms.

    Current = (9/2.5) = 3.6A.

    I think I would be asking for a "please explain".???
