does anyone know what kind of lamp it is which gives off, as replacement, the light of the sun?

i live in Wisconsin, and the sunlight here, when it actually shows up, which is seldom an occurrence in the winter - is very, very pale.

the days, are dreary and gray - and bring on a sadness which even a sturdy type of spirit cannot avoid being affected by.

someone told me there is a light which from a man-made lamp, may, not replace, necessarily the sun's natural light - but may imitate it, quite effectively.

if anyone knows what i should go look for, i'd appreciate the help.

this is only January - 3 more months of this near-darkness is becoming intolerable.

i thank you, if anyone is kind enough to offer information!

Update:

hi knox - now, i think i have all these-especially a powerful one attached gigantic magnifier, which i use toward tapestry work - still - even this light does not really help. i'll look up your link. thanks!

i believe i may have seen something i saw which i thought was sunlight yesterday - however it was only an optical illusion. thanks!

Update 2:

- asdads - a lava lamp is somethig by which hippies would get high on something - stare at, for some pitiful reason - i don't want to get high - i just want some semblance of light inside my house, since the sun is on its' 9-months a year vacation. a thumbs up to you - nevertheless for your sense of humour...ah...it is a sense of humour, right? just kidding. thanks for your effort.

Update 3:

well G - your link is to a song - not to a needed source of light - as much as i appreciate the music - nice tune - i'd give it an..ah.... 8 and a half rating. but i'm looking for a source of light against the dreariness - in this ghostly State! songs don't help for too long buddy! by the way it is not replacement of the sun, i need - just some freaking light source which offers the medicinal power of the great one, up there; 93 million miles from our rock!!! congratulations to the birth of a sun, this christmas past nice gift to get! i just got books as always!!!-most things never change, G! What? hey, i'm not in or from SINGAPORE - Yahoo - i'm here in Wussconsin! thanks G. nevertheless!
