Brick and Mortar Music: What are your favourite songs that mention or are about "buildings"...?
....any and every kind....
It's pretty difficult to convey a tangible sense of bricks and mortar in a song. For example, you learn nothing about watchtowers from "All Along the Watchtower". Most compelling songs about buildings are really about the people: those who design, build, work, live ....and yes, die in them.
From pop's most famous fictional edifice, Heartbreak Hotel situated down at the end of Lonely Street, to the House that Jack Built or the Love Shack way back in the middle of a field, there have been many, many songs that mention "buildings". Soo, be it a house, hotel, motel, hospital, church, pub, skyscraper, tower, castle, and so on and so forth... you get my drift...What are your favourite songs that mention or about buildings?
