TV audio cable problem?
On the back of my magnavox LCD TV the only audio out port is a yellow female plug that looks like an RCA cable port but has the word coaxial written above it. I'm trying to hook my powered speakers up to my tv but I either need red and white audio stereo plugs or a small headphone plug. Is there any kind of adaptor that will allow me to go from my tv to my speakers. I've never seen a single yellow RCA port that's for audio out named coaxial before and neither has radio shack. Can anyone help me?

The guys at Radio Shack are dips.
DVD players had 2 types of outputs that could carry 5.1 signals: Coaxial-digital and Optical. Some HDTV's have one or the other, but optical is the most common output.
You can get a $25 converter to change coaxial to optical at Radio Shack (at least the guys at the Shack admitted they did not know what it was rather than lie to you saying it was something else).
Your problem: You have computer stereo speakers (2 channel) but your HDTV outputs 5.1. See the problem?
You need a 5.1 AV Receiver and speakers.
