What are best all-season tires for traction in snow/wet roads (Not snow tires) for a '06 Honda Civic?

I don't believe in so-called "all-season" tires for use in snowy climates. Even the best ones are far inferior to the worst winter tires. "All-sesaon" means "light snow" and temperatures above 45 degrees. This is why for driving in Minnesota year-round I have two sets: one set are summer-only high-performance tires which have better dry and wet traction, handling and braking than all-season tires and the other set are dedicated winter-only tires which are an order of magnitude better than any AS tire I could get for the slippery months.
If you must have only one set of tires a recommendation is slightly difficult since you don't tell us which trim of Civic you have (which will determine the tire size) but in North America there is only one tire for sale that does it all fairly competently and that is the Nokian WR G2, a true 4-season tire.

Hey Baseball, is your '06 a DX, LX or EX model. We can give you more specifics with the model info.
And more specifically, due to model differences and wheel options, you could have 205/55-16, 215/45-17, or other tire sizes. Depending on the particular tire size you will have different brand and model options. Glad to help you if you can offer the specifics.
