I was on umemployment last year and was wondering do they send W2s or something for tax purposes or can?
we print them online? I did chose to have my taxes taken out of my checks and i was on it most of the year and started working again towards the end of year. I was told by some people we need to call others we have to go pick it up or even request it. Just want to make sure i do what im suppose to do. I am in Georgia. So any HELPFUL advice will be greatly appreciated. Ive never been on unemplyoment before so i dont know what to expect for tax times! THANKS

You will get a UC-1099-G. They automatically send them out sometime in January. And you need it to do your taxes if you collected unemployment whether you had the taxes taken out or not.
Many states also allow you to access them on the unemployment website. In Pennsylvania where I live, you can get it online about 2 days before it comes in the mail.

You will receive a form called 1099-G from the Georgia Department of Labor. You will need to report this on your tax form as income received. (I don't live in Georgia) The Department of Labor should make some attempt to provide you with the form, not for you to go there, but I could be wrong about this.
It appears you can get your 1099-G from the Department by visiting their website. Check the link below for their "1099 Access" site.

Could be available online after the next week in January for this purpose and they will also mail a copy out to the address that they do have on record for you at that time.
Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 01/13/2013

I don't believe you get a W-2, rather, you get a 1099 or something like that. If you had registered online for unemployment, you may be able to obtain the document from the site.

In Florida they automatically mail them to you in the end of January. I'm sure GA will do the same thing.

You will get a form, I think it's a 1099 for UE. They will mail it automatically, though your locality may allow for online retrieval.
