How do I use my Kindle abroad?
Please excuse my ignorance and this may sound like a daft question. My husband and I (both 63) both got a Kindle from our daughter at Christmas. We holiday in Lanzarote and usually take loads of books, which adds to our travel weight.
Can we use our Kindles in Lanzarote, lying by the side of the pool? We will need a wifi connection, won't we? I know the reception area at the complex we holiday at has 2 computers for holidaymaker's use. Will we have to pay them to get a connection?

You don't need a wifi connection when reading books on a kindle just to download them, so before you go away make sure you have plenty of books on your kindle that you want to read while your away.
If you travell by plane and want to read on the plane there should be an airplane mode for you to use it, have a look through your settings on your kindle and you should be able to find it somewhere

Once the book is downloaded to the kindle you no longer need a WiFi connection. If you put the books on the kindle before you go on holiday there will be no problem.

I have transferred oodles of books to my Kindle by using the included USB lead. You won't need the wi fi in Lanzarote.

better watch a movie, than read a written booklet.Of course,it is much easier to get a better picture by watching the action(images),then browsing through each one of these words.
