Tractor trailer owner operator, how do you obtain unemployment?
I am considering taking on the job as a lease pruchase tractor trailer driver after many yrs of running as a company driver. My question is what if you need to collect unemployment from the government. Can you collect as did the company or you as a business owner, did they pay money towards unempolyment insurance?

If you were self employed and did your taxes at the end of the year,you should have paid into unemployment fund.When you file for UC it will ask you if you were self employed and checks with your SS number.
