QUESTION ON BIBLE RULES ?

please help me clarify a few things...

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female,

provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine

claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify?

Why can’t I own Canadians?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus

21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her

period of Menstrual uncleanliness – Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I

tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a

pleasing odor for the Lord – Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They

claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2

clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill

him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an

abomination, Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I

don’t agree. Can you settle this? Are there ‘degrees’ of abomination?

7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a

defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my

vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around

their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How

should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me

unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different

crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two

different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse

and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble

of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn’t we

just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people

who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

"1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female,

provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine

claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify?

    Why can’t I own Canadians?"

As of 21st Century, you cannot OWN anybody. And reasoning the bible for it is not viable. But i guess that is why it's called religion, you can't reason with it.

"2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus

21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?"

What about -2 Million and 50 years in jail? you have to pay a fine to the government, and get jailed as it is against the law. I don't know about US law and corresponding actions, but it's a clear violation of international human rights.

"'3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her

period of Menstrual uncleanliness – Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I

tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

Simple, you don't follow rule in Lev.15: 19-24, go and ask her.

"4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a

pleasing odor for the Lord – Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They

claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?"

No, you should smite yourself, this is the 21st century, use a damn incinerator.

"5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2

clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill

him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?"

Ask your god if he exists first, no answer equals no he does not exist. And also, nobody cares weather it's sabbath or not, some people need to work and some people need to take a damn break. Just leave them with their lives, and they will not bother yours, you do that to me or any one, he or she may ram a F-U-C-K-ing Prius on your F_U_C_King living room.

"6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an

abomination, Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I

don’t agree. Can you settle this? Are there ‘degrees’ of abomination?"

Yeah, the're is "You" abomination, and there is "Us" abomination. "You" abomination is those zealot christians who never learned how to think, and there is the "Us" abomination who aren't really monsters, it's just so happen the "You" dubbed us in the same level as you because you can't accept the fact that you people cannot think for yourself.

"7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a

defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my

vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?"

Nobody but zealot christians gives a damn about quotes like that demeaning good people. But as far as anything goes there is no such thing as perfect, there will be always 0.00000....0001 margin of error, and you cannot reach full 20.000000000000.../20, so get over it. If you can't then don't ever come near another altar again.

"8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around

their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How

    should they die?"

Nobody gives a damn man, you don't see Muslims, Mormons, Buhddists... and others controlling your way of life, so don't butt into others.

"9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me

unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?"

You can, just don't break a fingernail ******. And don't forget your leather purse, along with your leather 6-inch heel pumps while you play. Not that i'm a misogynist, but it's just annoying how you want to stay clean to a game that is rigorous that will make you dirty afterwards playing. Lastly, leather is not always Pigskin, and pigskin is commonly used in luxury items.

"10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different

crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two

different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse

just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people

who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)"

Why don't we burn you, and see if you will enjoy 3rd degree burns all over your body, and we'll have millions of people watch your death. As far as anything goes, old laws are Xhit made by stupid superstitious idiots, who were surprisingly smart enough to fool other people. But i guess monkey-see monkey-do.

Why do you lie about what the Bible says? Why do you then ask people to justify your lies? You don't want clarification. If you did, you would have looked at the answers that have been given to the same questions when they have been asked and answered over and over and over again.

You act like you live in the Temple. You put out your misinterpretations of what is being said in the Bible instead of what the Bible actually says. You just want to rant and feel oh so superior to those who believe what the Bible actually says.

Most people outgrow this need for attention by the time they are legally allowed to come to Yahoo! Answers. But, then, you probably didn't pay any attention to the rules that YOU agreed to follow when you signed up. What a hypocrite.

Your aunt is OK, the bible specifies wool and linen mixture is forbidden, But for the rest of them, I think stoning is pretty good. Its cheap and painful to the recipient. There are any number of methods to despatch your neighbours and family but you just can't beat a good stoning. I've been stoned u number of times
