You would use the verb To know which in French it is 'Connaître' there is also 'Savoir' but savoir is mostly toward to know some information and Connaître is basically To know a person.
So, you would say, «Tu connais à Justin bieber?» or Est-ce que tu connais à Justin Bieber» informally. Formally, «Vous connaissez à Barack Obama?» or «Connaissez-vous à Obama»
Le chanteur=the singer
Le président=the president.
Les états-unis=the United States
Connais-tu le chanteur Justin Bieber?
Connaissez-vous le président des états-unis? Connaissez-vous le président, Barack Obama?
Basically the verb Connaître is your backbone for your answer.

Never use internet translators. They hardly ever work. Connaître is to know a person or town . ex. Je connais Paris bien or je connais cette femme. Savoir is to know a fact. ex. Je sais qu'il y a 50 états en les états-unis
