is there any Drag Racing activity in NY/NJ THIS TIME ? i need as a gift?
i wonder if i can get a Racing Ride gift certificate for my bf in February. where he will be seated into a racing sports car or whatever it's called and have a fun ride with an instructor or by himself.
Anyone tried it? I just completely have no idea how it works and where in NY NJ PA are i can get a great safe deal next month as lots of tracks are open from March.

Racing (besides snowmobile, ice racing and arena cross) Is done for the season in these parts.
During the summer the SCCA offers ride alongs with an instructor and if you pass the course you can get licensed and do solo runs on a road course. The Richard Petty school of racing offers a school where you can drive a car similar to those in the Nascar series. Some tracks (mainly go kart racing) offer rental karts you can race yourself. I am not sure if it is still operating but in Fonda Ny there was an indoor facility that ran indoor sprint car style go karts you rented and raced. They set it up like the real deal. You ran heat races and mains. Last time I went it was 25 bucks To race. I would Google your area and see what comes up. Good Luck.
