What is the most offbeat way you have lost weight?

Yea obviously the most productive way is eating right and being active but I'm curious to hear other ways!

    I was bulimic for the longest I had ever been, from 2006-2007, abusing diuretics (prescription 80mg furosimide, which I was stealing from my father *hangs head in shame*) at one point taking six in one sitting, losing 22lbs in less than 24 hours, and nearly passing out-really slow heartbeat, dizziness, should have had my mother rush me to the emergency room, but instead of admitting to having a problem, I just said I was congested...I abused laxatives, at one time taking 12 sennacot and doing a saline enema on top of it...and again, instead of admitting to a problem, I just said it must have been food poisoning. My s/o rushed me to the emergency room but I had him come back and get me before I was even seen.

    It is extremely easy for a clinically obese woman to hide bulimia, because-who the HELL suspects the fat b*tch of purging? Usually when you think bulimia, you think a skinny chick with bad breath. Well, sometimes that's the case, and it is an illness. I was obsessive about brushing my teeth, or chewing sugar-free mint gum. I exercised DAILY 99% of the time. However, after I knee injury in 2007, I just...stopped caring. I couldn't exercise because it hurt so bad. I still purged every now and then, but then I stopped that when I had really bad acid reflux.

    NOW, I am on a quest to lose the weight THE RIGHT WAY, even if it takes me a couple years. I try not to pay TOO much attention to the scale, rather focusing on how I feel and how my clothes are starting to fall off me, how strong I'm becoming again, and retraining myself to eat properly, with vegetables at the base of my food pyramid.

    Edit: I should add, when I really started making this detrimental behavior a habit, I was 280something pounds. I lost 30lbs right away after having my son in February 2006, probably from water weight, combined with the fact that I was breast feeding him for the first month. My kids' father and I were going through a LOT. I had kicked him out. I felt I had no control over the shituation between the two of us, but this was something I COULD control.

    Now things are a LOT better between us. Of course they're not perfect, and my goal this time is being a good example to my family with my eating and exercise habits, and losing weight is just one of the perks of those new good habits.

    on the only hand, her boss is a freaking fool - she would not might desire to drop some pounds in any respect. She's the perfect weight for her top (it is how plenty i'm meant to weigh; i'm the comparable top). yet on the different hand, what can we assume from a employer who hires women persons based merely approximately completely on how they look? absolutely everyone ever seen a fat woman working at Hooters? Or an unsightly woman, or somebody with scars, or somebody with some sort of beginning illness that is affecting their visual attraction, or somebody lacking a limb....? No. because of the fact the full factor of Hooters is that their wait team are all "eye candy".

    I had my leg amputated at the knee. I've finally hit my weight goal.

    food poisoning when I was 12, I was the lowest weight I ever been.

    you might do better to replace an occasional dinner with a nice roll in the hay

    walk your lunch outside or to another location in the office instead of sitting and eating at your desk
