I'm I over the legal limit?

Wow...

So tomorrow at 1400, I have a driving lesson but tonight (it's 2130 now) I've had one bottle of beer. If I drive tomorrow on my lesson, would I be over the legal UK limit?

Reason is I forgot I had a lesson. I'm 17 years old also, and I am quite lightweight. Drank my beer slowly if that matters. Obviously I wouldn't have had any alcohol but I completely forgot.

Surely one bottle is fine?

Update:

It was Budweiser beer, in a bottle.

Update 2:

Thank you all. I'll select best answer as soon as I can.

Can't believe I forgot I had a driving lesson. -.-

Thanks again.

Update 3:

@Who_is_Jack - If you read my question, you'd know that I completely forgot. If I had known I had a lesson, you really think I'd have drank?

And I'm not even over the limit. Now shut the hell up.

One bottle of Bud? That weak excuse for cats wee. What strength is it. 3.4? maybe a little more and I guess you mean a 33cl bottle.

Fact you have 14 hours before your lesson and alcohol leaves your body at about one unit per hour so you 'should' be OK

I'm not recommending it and as a profession driver always allow 12 to 24 hours from last drink (which is why my last drink was wee dram at New Year) but on this occasion it 'should' be OK but don't make a habit of it.

It should have left your system by tomorrow morning. If in doubt drink plenty of water and make sure you eat something. An egg sandwich would be good.

If you drank the American version of Budweiser (the stuff which is advertised a lot on telly) then you have nothing to worry about at all. It's not particularly strong because it's designed for people who are not really beer drinkers. If you drank the original Budweiser (Czech beer called "Budvar") then it is a lot stronger, and better flavoured.

In this case the speed of drinking won't matter.

I don't know what the legal limit is in the UK, but it's unlikely that any alcohol will be in your system by that time. As a general rule, your body can metabolize a BAC of .015 in about an hour and you didn't reach that after a single beer.

Yes, in that amount of time you will have the zero limit needed.

One beer will be broken down in about 2 hours, see http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/853.aspx?CategoryID=87

It is all based on metabolism and your body. But there would likely be no alcohol left in your body after this time.

    Well done for checking though.

What a great start to your driving future, if you are unsure why the hell have you have had a drink if you think you will be borderline.

It starts with one bottle will be fine and ends with a long ban and zero chance of getting insurance for 10 years.

You should be good, eat plenty and drink lots of water, good luck!
