why is there any gun control debate?

in the united states vs. miller the supreme court held that any military weapon in common use must be availble for private citizians to buy and own seeing as how when called upon for service in their nongovernment miliatia units they have to supply their own weapons which are of common use of the military at the time

this means all common use weapons this is so that when called upon to defend this country from corrupt leaders we are equally armed and matched to be able to succeed.

now all commonally used weapons actually includes fully auto ammatic, rockoet launchers, granades, tanks, cannon, battleships, and so on ...

so how is there any kind of discussion about it

Update:

pat- i am not saying you should go out and buy one but by law and the constitution upheld by the united states supreme court it is illegal and unconstitutional to ban a united states citizian from buying one so any debate on the issue is just that a debate and any law banning any gun the military uses is illegal and unconstitutional

i agree that it is not worth buy a tank or battleship for personal use which i can not even begin to think what that would be but a militia should be able to buy thoseitems and the ammo for them

Making something against the law will not always stop it.. examples.. War on drugs,Drunk driving!!. If guns were ever against the law than only the bad guys would have them..

    As for school guards.

We could use the money we give to countries that hate us,our children are more important!!

Having a gun will not help all the time but being defenseless will never help..

Isn't it better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it!!

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again."

Because liberals are the most brain dead, useless, and hateful people on the planet. They MUST and I mean must go against whatever the conservative view point is because that is what their puppet masters tell them to do. You can show them pages of quotes by the founding fathers explaining how citizens have the right to the same weapons as the government, how guns keep you free, and most importantly that more people should be armed. You can also show them pages of statistics about banning guns and violent crime, gun violence, and how assault weapons are hardly used in mass shootings. They wil disregard all of it though and throw back some useless drivel they heard on The Daily Show.

Rocket launchers, tanks, cannons, battleships and so on are weapons of destruction that require meticulous preventative maintenance and upkeep that requires special training. Not only are they not allowed to be owned by civilians, they are expensive and far more dangerous to keep and maintain.

When it comes to firearms. I agree with you.
